Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a large bowl, mix the sugar and baking powder.
- Add the amasi and butter, and mix until combined.
- If using, fold in the vanilla custard.
- Shape the mixture into scones and place them on a greased baking tray.
Baking
- Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until golden.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
Scones are best served warm. They can be enjoyed plain or with butter, jam, or clotted cream. Try using different flavor variations by adding dried fruits or nuts.
