Dough Ingredients
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup warm milk Should feel lukewarm to the touch
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add the yeast mixture, eggs, and softened butter to the dry ingredients.
  4. Mix until a dough forms, then knead for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Punch down the dough, then divide it into equal pieces and shape them into rolls.
  8. Arrange the rolls on a baking sheet, cover, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm out of the oven, can be enjoyed plain, with butter, or topped with jam and honey.
