Preparation
- In a large bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add the yeast mixture, eggs, and softened butter to the dry ingredients.
- Mix until a dough forms, then knead for about 10 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Punch down the dough, then divide it into equal pieces and shape them into rolls.
- Arrange the rolls on a baking sheet, cover, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve warm out of the oven, can be enjoyed plain, with butter, or topped with jam and honey.
