Ingredients
  

Dough Ingredients
  • 200 ml lukewarm milk Ensure milk is lukewarm, not hot, as high temperatures can kill the yeast.
  • 7 g dry yeast
  • 1 each egg
  • 8 g vanilla sugar
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 50 ml vegetable oil
  • 400 g flour
Filling and Topping
  • 1 jar hazelnut cream For filling.
  • to taste powdered sugar For dusting before serving.

Method
 

Dough Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix the lukewarm milk and yeast; let it sit for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the egg, vanilla sugar, sugar, and vegetable oil.
  3. Add the yeast mixture to the bowl and mix well.
  4. Gradually add the flour, mixing until a dough forms.
  5. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until soft and smooth.
  6. Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Donut Formation and Frying
  1. Roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thickness and cut into circles.
  2. Let the circles rise for another 20 minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a deep fryer and fry each donut until golden brown.
  4. Let cool slightly, fill with hazelnut cream, and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Serve warm for the best taste. Pair with coffee or tea. Store in an airtight container at room temperature or freeze for up to a month. Experiment with different fillings like chocolate or vanilla cream for variations.
