Ingredients
  

For the cookie dough
  • 100 grams butter Make sure your butter is softened.
  • 175 grams sugar You can use brown sugar for a richer flavor.
  • 1 unit egg
  • A pinch unit salt
  • A few drops unit vanilla essence
  • 200 grams flour You can substitute some of this with whole wheat flour for a healthier option.
  • to taste unit chocolate chips For extra chocolate flavor, consider mixing in dark or white chocolate chips.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg, salt, and vanilla essence, and mix until combined.
  4. Gradually add the flour and mix until a dough forms.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  2. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze them tightly wrapped.
