Preparation
- In a large bowl, combine warm water, instant yeast, and brown sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add melted butter, salt, cinnamon, and granulated sugar to the mixture. Gradually add flour until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
Shaping and Frying
- Roll out the dough and cut it into strips. Twist each strip and form into a donut shape.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer. Fry the donuts until golden brown, then drain on paper towels.
- Dust with cinnamon sugar and serve warm.
Notes
For added sweetness, serve with a mixture of cinnamon and sugar. Can be paired with coffee or tea. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
