Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg yolk, vanilla extract, and salt, and mix until well combined.
- Gradually add the flour, mixing until just incorporated.
- Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
Baking
- Pipe the cookies onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in desired shapes.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Dust with powdered sugar for added sweetness. Pairs wonderfully with tea or coffee. Can dip in melted chocolate for an extra treat.
